Brendan was born in Coachman’s Cove, White Bay, Newfoundland and now resides in Outer Cove, Newfoundland.

Outer Cove is a member of the municipally united communities of Logy Bay, Outer Cove, Middle Cove. This is a beautiful and spacious countryside community just north of St. John’s on the North-East Avalon Peninsula.

Growing up surrounded by the natural and vast landscapes, culture and charm that abounds in Newfoundland and Labrador, Brendan was inspired at a very early age to express these visions in his drawings, paintings and carvings. His talent is mostly self taught but he also has formal artistic training.

Brendan’s primary medium is watercolor and he also paints acrylics and creates wood carvings… A popular request in wood carvings are his beautifully detailed walking sticks. Brendan hikes through the woods to find the perfect indigenous specious of trees to transform into these remarkable, and for the outdoor enthusiast, quite practical, walking sticks.

His paintings are appreciated by his many clients locally and all over the world. Notably, Brendan’s paintings can be seen in Newfoundland & Labrador Art Collections and in Hibernia Art Collections. Brendan’s works have also been featured in numerous Art Shows – by Emma Butler Gallery and Gallery On The Lake, to name a few.

Brendan sells his Art privately and accepts commissioned requests. He also teaches at his home Studio. Please feel welcome to contact Brendan if you would like a special creation made just for you or as a gift for someone special or if you are looking for a patient and inspiring teacher to help you develop your own artistic talents.
